Scimar has been involved in a number of projects that have led to the creation of new specialist companies and currently has a stake in the following closely related businesses;

Green Energy Technologies Ltd (www.greennergytechnologies.eu) was set up in 2008 to take the Split-Pi DC-DC controllers to volume markets, and, together with novel DC motor technology, to the hybrid and electric vehicle market. It is a partner in the current FP7 SAFEDRIVE programme.

Tradewind Turbines Ltd was set up in 2009 to develop a new, sailing based, vertical axis wind turbine. With grant support from MoD CDE two trial turbines have been built and are under trial, with commercial product available in 2012.

Accuric Ltd is a new JV with a novel very high MTBF LED driver for use in lighting and signage.
